Thinking about moving to Cyprus to live?

To retire, work or just to purchase a holiday home?

Thinking about buying, purchasing or renting property in Cyprus?

PLEASE read on for FREE advice from us

Let us introduce ourselves; both myself and my wife are from Wales. I am a chartered Engineer, and my wife a retired SRN Nurse. My wife was retired from her job medically, and I am reaching retirement age. We decided after many fantastic holidays in Cyprus to up sticks and move to Cyprus for a better way of life and retire.

So researching the internet we came across www.forsalecyprus.com
Fantastic web site in itself.

We found a plot of land for sale by the owner and decided to build our own house.

Packed and ready to go with what we thought was all we needed; including the idea that it would be a walk in the park. We knew how to do it!
We had bought property in England and Wales.

We arrived at the wonderful Island and set too by ourselves. BIG MISTAKE!

Luckily we contacted forsalecyprus and one of their representatives came and
met us. They are not estate agents or real estate and it became very obvious that they were not after a cut or commission as their web site is built for sellers to sell the property not them.

INVALUABLE HELP

They took us to the land we wanted to purchase and we discussed local issues with them, and the difference in British builders with the Cypriot builders.
They recommended a solicitor (advocate) who had dealt with thousands of foreign buyers, purchasing property and land in Cyprus.
We went with them to the solicitor (advocate) who qualified in England and spoke perfect English. They nurse maided us through the whole process so that in British terms we knew exactly what was expected.

So there it was we owned the land. Fantastic!!!!

Three days were spent with them they gave us invaluable advice about building in
Cyprus, what was needed in this climate, what was recommended with our new house, the tricks used by local building firms to give better deals, and you to sign contracts whilst they “dangled a carrot.”

The pit falls of the Island. The banking system in Cyprus. The customs of the local
people. The vets to use for importing your animals, medical help, recommended agents to deal with your immigration and duty free cars. Local builders and contractors, how to negotiate some towns and find the best shops for house hold equipment we needed to purchase.
Plus countless advice about every issue we broached with them from, do we need
mosquito nets? What snakes are there in Cyprus? What about medical insurance?
Doctors? Can we drink the water in certain places? How do we get a water bore hole to have unlimited water for the swimming pool and garden? The questions went on!

They even found us a house to rent for £225 per month and a hire car at a good rate whilst work commenced on our new house.

This knowledge was totally invaluable and had we not had it we would have come
unstuck and ended up as one of those statistical figures of another British person
with a horror story.

They themselves admitted they are not professionals in all the fields and if they didn’t know the answer they knew a contact who did know and they never tried to bluff you. They were a friendly down to earth committed organisation.

How did they know all this? They had learnt the hard way and had the experience to pass on.

How much did it cost for this help,
“ PRICELESS”

Yes they charged us a fee for all their invaluable time, contacts professional associates,
but most of all their experience, advice and friendly relaxed approach.
But they saved us thousands, and a lot of heart ache and worry.
But it didn’t stop there we still contact them for free friendly advice.

Thanks and good luck forsalecyprus.com

Buying Property in Cyprus.

If you are thinking of buying property in Cyprus, welcome to forsalecyprus.com buying and renting advice and listings of property for sale. Here is an example of our hints on buying section and the points you need to consider, 1. Take your time to look around. If you find a house, villa, apartment, land, business, or even a holiday home you are interested in go back as many times as you like. 2. What are the local amenities, Tavern’s, supermarkets, public transport, schools, banks, swimming pool, beaches etc? 3. Where does the water supply come from, (mains or spring). In many of the mountain villages the water is drinkable as it comes from natural springs. Does the property have a water bore hole to supply the garden? These are just a sample of questions we have to help you find the right property, for a full list visit the web sites Hints on Buying.
